Moving off Shopify or Woo without losing an order

A platform move is a script, not a weekend of copy-paste. Scope it in writing, script it, rehearse it on a copy until it’s boring — then cut over.

The scary part of leaving a platform isn’t the new one. It’s the history: years of products, customers, orders and URLs that rank. A move that loses any of it costs more than it saves.

So we treat a migration as a script that can run as many times as it takes, not a one-shot export.

How the move runs

  1. Scope, in writing — what moves, what maps where, what stays behind, approved before any work starts.
  2. Script the move — against your store’s API, Shopify or Woo, so it’s re-runnable. A mismatch means a fix and a re-run, never a redo.
  3. Rehearse on a copy — full runs into a staging store, as many times as it takes, reviewed with your real data.
  4. Cut over, verified — final sync, checks pass, DNS flips, and the 301 map goes live with it.

Everything on the truck

Products and variants, categories, customers and orders, content and SEO all move — and the piece your old platform never had, the decoration setup: print areas and per-technique pricing, rebuilt as rules.

The 301 map goes live with the cutover, so rankings follow the move and customers never see a gap.
