About · a short story about pressing

Hi. We're the people
behind the print button.

A small team in Goa, India, that has spent eight years making complicated software feel easy — and got quietly obsessed with what happens between “add to cart” and a finished shirt.

Chapter 01 · Where we come from

Easy innovations,
from a coastal state.

DesignMint is made by Intuio Software Labs. We started in 2018 in Verna, Goa, as a development partner — the team other companies call when an idea needs to become real software. Eight years on, that's still what we do.

Our two words for it are easy innovations: take something genuinely sophisticated, and make it feel obvious to the person using it. Take out the friction, keep the depth. It's a belief, and it turned out to be a product.

Chapter 02 · The problem that wouldn't leave

Every shop had
the same Tuesday.

Somewhere along the way we kept meeting the same person: someone who runs a press, and spends their mornings answering email. Is this logo big enough? Can it go on the sleeve? What's the price for forty? Back and forth, forty times a week.

Commerce templates couldn't answer any of it, because the answers live in the details — millimetres, DPI, bleed, which technique a garment can actually take. So we did the unfashionable thing and got interested in the details.

Chapter 03 · How we execute

We measure
in millimetres.

Innovation, for us, is the part nobody sees. A print area drawn on the real garment in real units. Artwork that knows its own resolution and tells you before the press does. A design that re-checks itself the moment you switch technique. Export files a machine can use unedited.

We go deep on execution because that's where the pain was. Nothing ships until it survives a rehearsal, and every engagement starts with a written scope — a document you can hold us to, not a deck.

Chapter 04 · The culture

Small team.
Long attention span.

We're not a big company and we don't plan to act like one. We'd rather build the right thing slowly than the loud thing fast. We say what we think, we work as one team with the people who hire us, and we're never quite finished improving something.

The best product decisions we've made came from asking the person standing at the press. That's still where we start.

Chapter 05 · What's next

One studio, three ways in —
and a lot more to build.

Today DesignMint is a hosted commerce platform, an SDK for teams with their own stack, and a prepress API for everyone else. Tomorrow is whatever the next person at the press asks for.

And the fourth one? You tell us.

Say hello

Tell us what you print.

A shop, a platform, a licence question, or an idea that needs a written scope — it all starts with a short, human conversation.
